Christian Psalmist Brings in Holiday Season with Christian Authors at Christmas Bazaar

- Carmen Calhoun (www.carmencalhoun.com) is scheduled to perform at the December 2009 Christian Book Lovers Fellowship and Christmas Bazaar on Saturday, December 19th from 11:30 a.m. – 3:30 p.m. at Sacred Zion Full Gospel Baptist Church located 346 N. Denison Street (21229).

With two CDs - Broken and Blessed and Life – on the market, Carmen Calhoun is moving forward with a God-given gift that is both inspirational and healing. Carmen shares her personal struggles in her music allowing others to understand life’s purpose. She sings about her love for God while sharing her personal testimony. Her music is real and relevant. The versatility of style and sound that she brings to Christian music breaks traditional barriers.

Carmen has won many accolades for her songwriting. She won first place in the 2004 ISC Songwriters Competition, the 2005 Unisong Songwriters Competition, the 2006 and 2007 John Lennon Songwriters Competition. Her title song, Broken and Blessed, was a top 5 finalist for the VH1 Song of the Year Songwriters Competition.

Carmen resides in Washington, DC with her husband of 14 years. Terrence Anthony Calhoun is her soul mate, friend, visionary and also her drummer. They have three children – Tiffany, Dwight and Aaron.
