Bear, DE - Noted Author and Psychotherapist/Consultant, Dr. Steven Haymon, is scheduled to appear at the August 2009 Christian Book Lovers Fellowship sponsored by Voices of Thanksgiving: Christian Authors on Tour in Bear, DE on Saturday, 8/22 from 2:45 p.m. - 4:45 p.m. at the Bear Library located 101 Governors Place (19701).
For over 34 years, Dr. Haymon's Christian-based practice has helped thousands of clients across the country overcome drug addiction, mood disorders, major depression, Bi-polar Affective Disorders, anxiety disorder and Schizophrenia.
The author of Stress: Climbing Out of its Pit with God, Dr. Haymon is a native of St. Louis, Missouri. In 1969, he was drafted into the military to fight in the Vietnam War. After serving a short tour of duty, Dr. Haymon decided to advance his education. He graduated with a BA from Harris Teachers' College of St. Louis, Missouri in 1973. He graduated in 1976 from St. Louis University with a MA in Social Work; and in 1994, he earned a Doctorate in Educational Psychology from the University of Missouri-St. Louis.
